The Arkansas SCBWI Spring Conference is held every year in April or May to offer educational and networking opportunities to writers and illustrators of all skill levels.
Faculty for the conference includes published authors and illustrators, editors and agents. The conference includes educational sessions on the craft and business of writing and illustrating for children. Attendees have the opportunity to submit according to the editor/agent guidelines (given out at the conference). Manuscript and Portfolio critiques are available to SCBWI members. Pitch sessions are also offered to all attendees if the schedule allows. Attendees have opportunities to network at the Friday Night Pizza Party and Saturday Boxed Lunch.
